Bob, I join John C., who I had the pleasure of meeting while at UFPTI, in praise of the program there. I didn't know I had prostate cancer until I was told. I couldn't tell anything was actually being done during the treatment (except for the sunburns), and cannot tell after the fact that anything was done. At least not yet. I only graduated August 10, 2007.
We left for the Mediterranean to resume our sailing trip on August 22. With just my wife and me, we have sailed from to Malta to Sicily, to mainland Italy and to Greece. I think that says about all that need be said about how grueling the recuperative process is.
Please feel free to use my name as a reference for anyone who has questions about the treatment from a patient’s perspective.

(Editors note, now that's really what I call recuperating after treatment.)
Hello to Everyone,
My name is Michael Koskie and I had my final PROTON THERAPY on June 28, 2007. My PSA test performed on June 29th came back at 2.9. I feel great and hope to see my PSA even lower when I get tested at the end of September 2007.
Just a little additional info.......I had a "COLONOSCOPY" performed on August 10, 2007. I informed the doctor that I had just completed PROTON THERAPY for prostate cancer. My results of the test came back with no sign of any problems. The doctor said that I did not have any radiation damage and he said I should have another test performed in "10" years. Now, that is GOOD NEWS!!!
I tell everyone I know about FLORIDA PROTON. The treatment is great and I hope that someday our country will allow Vietnam Veterans that came in contact with AGENT ORANGE to be treated free of charge by the VA.
Thanks to all who are involved with the Florida Proton Experience!
Regards, Michael K.
