Letters and Testimonials
Hi, Bob!
Thanks for keeping up with the “FloridaBOB” newsletter! It's a great service. I was at the FPTI last Tuesday for my first annual checkup and everything was fine (PSA's 0.6 and nothing noticeable from the digital exam, and I'm asymptomatic otherwise). Hope the same is true for you!
It was great to see Pat Steining, Connie, Gary Barlow, Gerry Troy, Katie, and several of the therapists while I was there, along with Dr. Mendenhall. In Dr. Vargas' absence, I'm being seen now by Dr. Henderson and he seems very good too. It's a wonderful bunch of people! Thanks for doing so much to help acquaint other folks with this approach!

Hey Bob. I just talked to Bruce today. He has finished his three-day work-up and will be beginning treatment on January 3rd. Thank you for forwarding this email to us. It helped Bruce get through some tough decisions, and over a lot of fear.
My friend, this is what the newsletter is about! Helping other people get through the fear and anxiety of taking charge of their lives.
I hope this finds you well, and that you and your family had a wonderful Christmas and happy New Year.
Your newsletter is helping to spread the word.

Bob, what a great, informative newsletter. The University of Florida Proton Therapy Institute has to be one of the most caring and professional medical organizations in the USA. I am proud to have been treated, and to have met and known the fine staff at this center.
Thanks for all the work you have done in putting this newsletter together. And, a P.S., my PSA this month after final treatment in February was point two (.2). Merry Christmas and Happy New Year,
Ron C
Hello everyone. I just got my lab results and my PSA is at 4.77! It has never been that low since I have been getting tests in 1998. This is a good thing. Last reading was 6.24 in November. When I was diagnosed with Prostate cancer my PSA was above 15, and when I started treatment it was 11. On the day before leaving treatment it was 8.
I'm a happy camper, feeling great except for as slight cold. This morning the wind chill here was – 5.9, with the ambient being 22 degrees. It is now 5.3 wind chill and the ambient is at 17 degrees. The wind has died down quite a bit. Just a dusting of snow. First snow since the first of the year.
I hope all is well with everyone.
